Accommodation in Malate, Manila: Pan Pacific Manila Hotel

DATE STAYED: April 18, 2018 – April 20, 2018 (3d/2n)

THE RATE: Php4,500.00 per night for a twin deluxe room with breakfast for two (via company booking)

THE ADDRESS: M. Adriatico corner Gen. Malvar Streets, Manila City 1004, Malate, Philippines

THE EXPERIENCE:

I actually stayed for free because my work held a seminar here. But when I asked for the rate in case I wanted to extend my stay beyond three days, the receptionist said the rate isPhp 4,500.00. I’m not sure though if this is their standard rate that time or if it’s discounted already.

Although I spent most of the time outside my room, I enjoyed the hours I spent here. The room was spacious and the bed can actually fit two persons. The bathroom was huge. I liked how the bathtub is separate from the shower area and that there is a TV above it. I also liked that there was a small window, which you can open from the bathroom to see the bedroom.

The pillow menu and the free pastries on the first day were a nice touch. I really felt that the management was sensitive enough to make sure that its guests can sleep comfortably.

What is inside our unit? From Pan Pacific’s website: A choice of king-sized or twin beds, Pillow menu, Executive writing table and stationery set, Ensuite bathroom with separate rain shower stall and bathtub, Bathrobe, slippers and hairdryer, 32″ LCD interactive television with local and cable channels, DVD player, Fully-stocked minibar, Coffee and tea making facilities, Complimentary bottled water, Daily newspaper, Wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, Spare electrical outlet and power adapter, IDD telephone and voicemail, Complimentary local phone calls, Secure key-card access, Personal digital safe, Iron and ironing board, 24-hour in-room dining, Butler and daily turn-down service

Pros: Bedroom and bathroom are both spacious, the hotel is just a short walk to a mall, there are many Japanese and Korean restaurants and money changers in the area.

Cons: The location of the hotel is not that safe, in my opinion.

The hotel offered a wide variety of food for its breakfast buffet but I forgot to take pictures 🙁
