THE FACILITIES:
We were looking for a hotel near the wharf and as per LesLo’s research, this was the only one with available rooms AND with free breakfast. They also offered free transportation from the airport and vice-versa.
When we arrived at Mactan airport, the hotel’s driver was already waiting for us. After a few minutes of travel, we arrived at Hotel Cesario. It was a small old hotel. There was no elevator and nobody to help you with your luggage. The hallways leading to the rooms were small, dim, and pretty good candidates for the location of a thriller or horror film. The first room given to us was infested with small moths. We were transferred to the second floor.
There was a problem with the cable tv inside our room but it was fixed by their technician. I also found a big cockroach slowly walking. Killed it and told the receptionist about it so they can send someone to us but nobody came.
The only saving grace about this hotel was their breakfast, which was buffet style. Hotel Cesario didn’t have a restaurant of its own so it sends its guests to its sister hotel, The Bellavista Hotel. Bellavista was just beside Cesario and there is a passageway connecting the two hotels. Cesario guests are also allowed to use the facilities of Bellavista such as their pool and gym. Anyway, I enjoyed their breakfast because they served bacon and they have an omelette station! I did not expect this from a small hotel so it was a really pleasant surprise.
What is inside our room? twin beds, aircon, wall fan, tv, desk, chair, vanity table, dresser, lampshade, trash can, flashlight, hairdryer, kettle, glasses, and an en suite bathroom with hot and cold shower. They provided towels, shampoo, and soap.
Pros: Cheap, location, and breakfast.
Cons: NO elevator and nobody will bring your bags to your room. Room may be infested with insects. Wifi is available in the lobby only.

Will I stay here again? No. The breakfast was great but it was not enough for me to stay here again.
