THE FACILITIES:

Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort really lived up to its name. The facade of the resort may be a bit disappointing but once you enter it, you wouldn’t want to leave. The place screams luxury! Fine, I haven’t stayed in any ritzy resort but for a thrifty girl like me, this is luxury! As should be, since it was the most expensive resort in the area.

The resort was clean and spacious. They have a restaurant, which was expectedly overpriced. The infinity pool was huge and warm even at night. They also have a pool bar. Every morning, the staff combed the shore to ensure that no big pebbles or small sea urchins will harm their guests. The facilities were great! But what I really liked about the resort is the service of their staff, who were kind and polite. I believe that the employees of a place can make or break the experience of its guests/customers.

LesLo booked Cabana A via Agoda since it was the only room available on our first day in Camotes. Our room was big! We were supposed to transfer to a deluxe room the following day but we asked the staff if we can stay in our Cabana and just pay the difference. Fortunately, it was not booked for the following days of our stay so we were able to avoid the hassle of changing rooms. Cabana A, which is good for three persons, included free breakfast for 3 pax.

What is inside our room? One matrimonial bed, one single bed, aircon, desk, chair, lampshades, dresser, tv with cable, mini bar, en suite bathroom with hot and cold shower, and safety deposit box.  They provided towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush set, and soap.

Pros: Free breakfast, free pick-up and drop-off, amenities, and staff.

Cons: Expensive food, which tastes so-so. Wifi is available in the restaurant but it was almost non-existent. There was no phone signal in the area. The cable signal was also weak. There were still some small sea urchins by the shore, which was not really the resort’s fault.
