5 Days: Mactan-Camotes, Cebu

A close friend invited me to Camotes Islands, Cebu in August to celebrate her birthday. She already booked the earliest flight from Manila to Cebu on August 11, 2017 via Cebupacific. Her return flight was on August 15, 2017. Since she will pay for our accommodation, I agreed and booked the latest flight to Cebu on August 11. I had work and the trip will cost me two vacation leaves so I told her I cannot accompany her on the earliest flight. We decided to meet in Mactan, stay overnight in a hotel, then head to Camotes Islands the following morning.

Camotes Islands is composed of Pacijan Island, Poro Island, Ponson Island, and Tulang Diot Islet (above Pacijan Island)

This Mactan-Camotes blog entry is actually a Camotes Islands entry. I included our stay in Mactan and our Mactan-Camotes-Mactan transit for those arriving in Mactan airport. I had a hard time looking for blogs with pictures that show exactly where to go to board the fastcraft to Camotes, so I decided that this will be of help to readers planning to visit Camotes.

THE RESEARCH

It will be our first time in Camotes Islands so we need to prepare. I usually visit pinoyexchange for itineraries, tips, and reviews but the 6th and last entry for the Camotes Islands forum was way back in 2015. Thus, I turned to blogs to help me list down the famous tourist places.

THE ITINERARY

After weeks of preparation, here’s what our itinerary looked like:

Again, I am not an expert in DIY travel. Just want to share my experience and remind myself of the trips I had.

  1. Thanks jill! Hindi ko din alam na masaya sa Camotes! So many things to do and less than two hours away from Mactan! Try to get Kuya Michael if you plan to visit Camotes. May multicab na daw siya so perfect for a family trip 🙂
